Sophia made her way down the stairs, hand holding the damp towel closed around her chest. She really should’ve checked to made sure she had clean panties before jumping in the shower, but after the day she’d had, she’d really needed that shower. As she reached the bottom step, she glanced around for her mother.
Sophia followed the muffled sounds coming from the living room, hoping that her mom had done the laundry while she was in the shower. As she rounded the corner into the living room, Sophia froze, shocked. Nearly dropping the towel in shock, she leaped back into the hallway, pressing her self up against the wall, heart pounding in her chest. Wha- was that…? Peeking back around the corner, Sophia’s eyes eyes widened to saucers at the sight waiting for her in the living room.
